The good news today is Bananas are fruiting in geannhomegarden where we propagate fruit bearing seedlings, herbs, international garden plants & flowers with love and care.

To date geannhomegarden maintained four (4) varieties of bananas: Saba, Turdan, Lacatan and Bungulan.

To boosts my daily energy, I usually eat a banana during my farm drills break time. It is also my daily alternative intake of Vitamin B6 to maintained correct blood sugar level and creates haemoglobin for healthy blood.

Another good news is that geannhomegarden now prepares yummy snack – the Banana Bread. Let me share you how easy it’s being done.

FYI in this recipe I used an electric pressure cooker adding about 2 cups of water for banana bread like textures. Here’s how I did the Steamed Banana Bread #geannhomegarden.

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix the eggs, sugar and butter. Beat all. Include puree bananas along with the evaporated milk and blend mixture well.

Pour into a greased loaf pan. Seal top of loaf pan with foil. Place a bamboo rack in the bottom of the cooker pot. Pressure cook until steam drive away. Dip a toothpick to test the bread; dried toothpick means the bread is cook. Remove loaf pan from cooker, remove bread from pan. Cool & place on serving plate. Slice and serve.

Have fun and put high in your list of wonderful source of dietary antioxidants – Bananas as your perfect snack.
